One of germany's favorite shows in its second design iteration.
The goal was to create a clearly recognizable show branding with lots of punch, in order to stand out across all platforms and applications. A strong focus was set on VOD online viewing, as an additional stronghold to traditional TV.
The design needed to be a little over the top, but not too ridiculous, while featuring the heart of the comedy show – news – and simultaneously keeping the late night entertainment feeling.
Similar to a ”real” news program, the depiction of the genre defining visual – the globe – played a central role during the initial design phase.
INTEGRATION WITH SET DESIGN
Printed as well as electronic content was integrated thightly into the design of the set and architecture of the studio itself.
Lower thirds, butterflies, and over the shoulder graphics all mimic typical news elements and complete the on air package.
Here the new look compared to the former one. In this particular case, both design packages were created by us, the older one obviously quite some time ago. We were honored to be able to refresh and modernize the original design again.
